SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

JOB DESCRIPTION - 1) Design, implement, test, and maintain software to automate the import of data into a proprietary RDBMS, create data file and eBook products, and customize data files per customer request. 2) Provide technical assistance to sales staff during custom product engagements and resolve customer support inquiries. 3) Collaborate with software development staff on applications using the RDBMS. 4) Other software development projects and support as directed.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES - Required: 1) Experience with full-featured relational database management systems that implement stored procedures, subqueries, triggers, and views. 2) Experience with objected-oriented software analysis, development, and best practices, including design patterns.
UNIX or Linux command line experience. 3) Interpersonal skills related to customer support issues. Preferred - 1) Familiarity with XML file format. 2) Experience with usage of file version control systems. 3) Familiarity with PHP (version 5) programming language. 4) Familiarity with C++, C#, or Java programming language.
